Te Waharoa Kaituitui
I work in the hapori at grass root levels; showing aroha and manaakitanga to enhance the Mana of our whānau. I walk alongside whānau and work together in Kotahitanga – Unity. I feel whakawhanaungatanga (making connections) and building respectful and reciprocal relationships with whānau is paramount to create a sense of belonging in my mahi.
I am passionate about enhancing the mana of individuals alongside their whānau and community and addressing and breaking down barriers and obstacles, so everyone has a choice to better their overall well-being and mental health through exercise and movement.
My current role at Purapura Whetu is to support kaimahi within Te Wahaora, coordinate and facilitate meaningful groups for our whānau to learn new skills and gain knowledge of the whenua around them.
Poipoia te kakano kia puawai – Nuture the seed and it will blossom.
